Aptos High’s Clare Peabody was 20th in the Division III girls race at the Stanford Invitational on Saturday in Palo Alto.
In a raced that featured hundreds of competitors from throughout the West Coast, Peabody was 150th overall with a time of 19 minutes, 47 seconds.
Scotts Valley High’s Vanessa Fraser, a defending Central Coast Section champion, was third in the D-III race at 18:15. She was 37 seconds behind eventual winner Madeleine Ankhelyi of Vista Del Lago in Moreno Valley.
Watsonville’s Sonya Cervantes was 104th in the Division I girls race, finishing with a time of 21:51. Crystal Ramirez clocked in at 22:20.
Aptos sophomore runner Yulisa Abundis was 23rd in the Division III race, coming in at 19:59. Teammate Matti Peoples was 29th at 20:20. Karen Jimenez was 42nd with a time of 20:38.
Soquel’s Kaila Gibson finished with a time of 21:23.
Phoenix Herring crossed the finish line at 21:25.
In the boys race, Watsonville’s Justin Carrancho took 19th place in the Division I race with a time of 16:39. Abraham Ortiz was 85th at 17:26. Saidi Jarquin was the third Watsonville runner to cross at 18:03.
Aptos’ Patrick Olson clocked in at 17:27 to take 67th in the Division III race. Morgan Miller clocked in at 17:33, and Chris Tiran finished at 17:52.
Scotts Valley’s Scott Edwards finished the race at 18:02.
