APTOS — The Aptos Village Project, the development project spearheaded by Green Valley Corporation / Barry Swenson Builder came closer to fruition on Tuesday when the board of supervisors unanimously approved the development application, clearing the way for a tentative ground breaking sometime next spring.
The project, which has been more than ten years in the making, will provide key infill-development in the heart of Aptos Village, encompassing just over eleven acres.
The mixed-use project, as it currently stands, will provide more than 60 residential units and up to 75,000 square feet of commercial space, a village green and park for recreation.
The project also looks to improve storm drainage in the village, increase parking, provide additional pedestrian pathways and add traffic lights at two busy intersections – Soquel Drive at Trout Gulch Road and Aptos Creek Road. For the complete article see the 09-27-2012 issue.
