WATSONVILLE — A new antiques and collectibles store opened Friday in Watsonville in the former carriage house at the Historic Tuttle Mansion.
Owner Jeniffer Oliver-Wess said her idea of opening Dusty Treasures, Antiques & Collectibles has been a long-running dream.
“It’s a perfect spot for this kind of business — in the carriage house,” she said during the store’s grand opening celebration “There’re five rooms here where I can show off all these amazing things.”
Oliver-Wess said the store came emerged from her love of antiques and collectibles that she has amassed over the years and showcased at a family museum.
“Almost everyone has interesting antiques and such passed on through their families but most of them end up in storage in the attic or garage, buried away,” Oliver-Wess said. “I like to get these things out there and display them and get them on the market for everyone to enjoy. It’s fun and it’s interesting.”
