Marcos Hernandez

Marcos Peter Hernandez, born and raised in Watsonville, died on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, surrounded by his family and friends.

Mr. Hernandez's children were his pride and joy; he loved them immensely, as well as his grandson Miguel (Lito). He was especially close to his nephews, Eric and JT, and his son-in-law Angel. He was also know as Uncle Mike, a title near and dear to his heart, by his numerous nieces and nephews, whom loved him dearly. Mr. Hernandez was a father figure to many, a friend to all, and was always quick to offer a helping hand.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Peter. He is survived by his children, Armando, Lili, and Mariah; his wife of 34 years Marianne; mother, Leonor Estrada Hernandez; and his siblings and family members: the Hernandez’s, Carrancos, Ayalas, Alvarados, Turners, Arrellanos, Gonzales’, Saavedras’, Barbas’ and Ochoas.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sept. 22 at 12 p.m. at Mehl's Colonial Chapel, 222 East Lake Ave.,  Watsonville. White attire preferred. A barbecue at Frank Barba's Ranch will be held Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. For more information contact (916) 822-4260.
