Dolores “Dolly”Galvan

Dolores Galvan passed away Monday July 30, 2012 in Hemet, CA. She was 78.

Mrs. Galvan was born November 6, 1933 in Carpinteria, CA. She moved to Watsonville in 1949. She worked on the family ranch harvesting strawberries and brussel sprouts for over 35 years. She loved being around her family and friends, and watching her novelas. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Parish, Women’s Auxiliary of Foreign Wars Post 1716, Young Ladies Institute (YLI), and Berry Co-Op.

Dolores is survived by her four children daughter Barbara Caudle (Ron) of Hemet, CA, sons Domingo Galvan Jr. (Esperanza) of Moss Landing, David Galvan of Watsonville and daughter Sandra Galvan also of Watsonville, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

She precedes in death her husband Domingo “Lupe” Galvan, her parents Delphino and Tomasa Melendez, her three brothers Narcisso Garcia, Richard and James Melendez.

Visitation, Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 4-9pm with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7pm, Ave Maria Memorial Chapel 609 Main Street Watsonville, CA 831-724-4751. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Thursday, August 9th at 10 A.M. with burial to follow at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park. Memorial contributions to the YLI preferred. Arrangements by Patrick and Debbie Carroll Ave Maria Memorial Chapel.
