GILROY — Garlic bread. Garlic fries. Garlic scampi. All these garlic delicacies and more are available at the 34th annual Gilroy Garlic Festival, which runs through Sunday.

Festival officials expect approximately 110,000 people to pass through the gates of the festival at Christmas Hill Park, where they will listen to live music, shop among dozens of vendors and mingle among the teeming masses who come from all around the U.S.

But the main reason most of them come, of course, is the garlic-inspired cuisine.

“I come for the food,” said Holly Baker of Soquel. “The best mushrooms on planet earth are at the Gilroy Garlic Festival.”
