Eleanor Rinaldi

May 30, 1923 – July 24, 2012

Eleanor Rinaldi died on July 24 at age 89 after an eight year journey with Alzheimer’s. She is survived by her children Jeff Rinaldi of Watsonville, Janis Robinson (David) of Carmichael and Carole Goldstein (Paul) of Mountain View, her grandchildren Vanessa Witmer (Aaron) and Brent Witmer (Angela) and great grandchildren Owen and Emily Witmer. She was preceded in death by her husband Vasco Rinaldi, sisters Nancy Johnson and Marie Malatesta, parents Erma and Enrico Malatesta. She is mourned by brothers in law Roy Johnson, Ray Rinaldi, Ernie Patten and their children and grandchildren. Many cousins and friends also share our loss.

Mom wanted to be remembered as a loving mother who really loved children. She volunteered with Girl Scouts and Campfire Girls, worked for the Red Cross and helped her husband in their flower business by designing and selling wreaths and bouquets at their flower stand near the fairgrounds. She belonged to Star of the Sea Church, I.C.F., Sons of Italy and her beloved Sewing Club.
