SANTA CRUZ — James Monroe Tallon, resident of Santa Cruz, died on Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was 63.
Mr. Tallon was born in Salinas on Nov. 21, 1948 to James and Wyvonne Tallon. He attended schools in both Gilroy and Watsonville. He worked as a mechanic most of his life and was last employed by Americold Logistics before an injury forced him into early retirement. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, hunting, camping, motorcycling, and working on cars. Most of all he loved being a dad, brother, and uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Tallon is survived by his wife, Dolores Tallon; sons, James A. Tallon and Michael Guidotti; daughters, Rochelle Johnston, Monica Guidotti, and Jamie Mendoza; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wyvonne.
A visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel today from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to Mehl’s Colonial Chapel in Watsonville to offset the costs for Mr. Tallon’s funeral expenses.
