Edgar L Raymond, 81, of Decatur, IL passed away on June 12, 2012 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or America Heart Association.

Edgar was born August 2, 1930 at home in Plymouth, IL. He was the son of Clarence and Ruth Raymond. He married Louise Ellen Vyeda on August 3, 1955 in Carson City, NV.

Edgar was owner/operator of Raymond Floor Covering for 40 years in Watsonville and Madera, CA. He loved camping, hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and raising a garden in the summertime with his children. Edgar was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea.

He is survived by his wife Louise Ellen; children Barbara Ballinuas and husband Norman of Madison, WI, Claudia Friesel of Boise, Idaho, Melanie Allison and husband Jerry of Clovis, CA, Mark A Raymond and wife Peggy of Watsonville, CA, Matt Raymond and wife Julie of Clovis, CA; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brothers Dick Raymond of Wilmington, DE, Gene Raymond of Bushnell, IL; sisters Lois Howlett of Decatur, IL, Betty Shelly of Colchester, IL.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
