Aptos High alum Bobby Crocker was named the Player of the Week in the Midwest League after going on a tear to end the first half of league play.

Crocker, playing for the Burlington Bees, went 5 for 11 in the final series of the half against the Beloit Snappers in Beloit, Wis. In the three-game stretch, he tallied five RBIs.

In the first-half finale on Sunday, Crocker got a hit, a walk and two RBIs in the Bees’ 6-2 win against Beloit.

Since June 11, he’s tallied three home runs, which is more than what he did in the more than 30 games prior.

He has a hit in 10 of his last 11 games.

For the season, he’s batting .274 with five home runs and 30 RBIs. He has a .355 on-base percentage.

He’s the fourth different Burlington player selected as Player of the Week in the league this season, joining teammates Dusty Robinson (twice picked), Sean Murphy and Drew Granier.
