WATSONVILLE — Beverly Jeanne Owens died on Thursday, May 24, 2012. She was 61.
She was born Dec. 12, 1950 and grew up in Belmont where she attended Carlmont High School. She graduated Cum Laude from Chico State University. After college she was the Director of the Cornerstone children’s home. She was then a long time resident of Watsonville where she managed the Mansion House Restaurant. She owned Roberly Enterprises with her long-time friend Robin Anderson. She was also a long term employee of Lorene’s Packing Shed Restaurant. She was an avid reader, enjoyed the beach, gardening, and loved her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Steve Berman. She is survived by Steve’s children Elaine and Brian Berman. She is also survived by her sisters, Carolyn Mignacco, Cheryl (Nick) Hyland, and her brother Sam as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday at 12 p.m. at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. A reception followed at the Pajaro Valley Golf Course. Donations can be made to the Second Harvest Food Bank 800 Ohlone Parkway Watsonville, CA 95076. Ave Maria Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
