WATSONVILLE — Santa Rios died at her home in Watsonville on Saturday, May 12, 2012. She was 83.
Mrs. Rios was a long-time Watsonville resident who arrived from Texas at the age of 10. She was a woman of great faith with an infectious smile, who loved to make others laugh with her silly sense of humor. She also loved to sing and dance. Mrs. Rios was a retired Hospice caregiver and a graduate of Cabrillo College. Through tenderness and kindness, she provided 30 years of service.
She is survived by her three children and their families, Juan Jimenez of Watsonville, Rosemary Aizu Ramirez of Citrus Heights, and Valia Aizu of San Jose; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister Honorata Rios of San Jose; and many nephews, nieces, and other extended family.
A gathering of family and friends will be held to celebrate her life on
Friday at 11 a.m. at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel with burial services to follow at Pioneer Cemetery, 66 Marin St., Watsonville.
