WATSONVILLE — Jesse F. Conway died on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula. He was 61.
A native of Watsonville, he was born September 14, 1950 to Elvira and Manuel Conway. Mr. Conway graduated from Watsonville High School and attended college to become a master mechanic. He loved music, art, classic cars, and astronomy. Mr. Conway was a coach, teacher, and good father, a true inspiration to all.
At age 50, Mr. Conway had a stroke that took his eyesight. Despite his blindness, he managed to attend Monterey Peninsula College and a school for the blind. He inspired others to be strong, and never give up, have patience, wisdom, and a caring heart.
Mr. Conway is survived by his son, Michael, of Portland, Oregon, and numerous other family, including his many friends in the AA Community.
A celebration of his life will be held on the first weekend in June. Please call Michael at 269-2387 for more details. Mehl’s Colonial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
