Tomasa Ortiz

WATSONVILLE — Tomasa A. Ortiz died peacefully in her home in Watsonville surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. She was 99.

Mrs. Ortiz loved to have flowers in her home and watch television; her favorites were novelas (soap operas). She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

  Mrs. Ortiz is survived by her daughter, Victoria Jimenez; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Justo R. Ortiz.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the 7th Day Adventist Church at 336 Green Valley Rd. The burial will take place on Thursday at 10 a.m., at the Pioneer Cemetery. Mehl’s Colonial Chapel was entrusted with funeral arrangements.
