Dorothy Bassmann

WATSONVILLE — Dorothy Bassmann died at her home in Watsonville on Sunday, April 22, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was 89.

A longtime Watsonville resident, she worked at Cabrillo College for many years, retiring in 1977.

Mrs. Bassmann is survived by her sons, Dale Bassmann of San Mateo, James (Karen) Bassmann of Hollister and George (Joan) Bassmann of Watsonville, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

A private family celebration will be held. Donations are preferred to Heartland Hospice, 2511 Garden Rd., Ste. B200, Monterey, CA 93940, American Cancer Society, 945 S. Main St., Ste. 201, Salinas, CA 93901. Arrangements are under the direction of Mehl’s Colonial Chapel.
