WATSONVILLE — Rosalva Navarro Fuentes died on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at her home in Watsonville. She was 80.
A native of San Pedro Tesistan, Jalisco, Mexico, Mrs. Fuentes had lived in Watsonville for 39 years. She loved cooking, reading, traveling, singing, gardening and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a very religious person and loving mother, wife, daughter and sister who always made you feel at home.
Mrs. Fuentes is survived by her husband of 57 years, Filiberto; children, David (Angela), Sergio (Ellie), Arturo (Olivia), Rogelio (Lupe), Filiberto (Nataly), Jesus (Camerina), Martin (Dinah) Fuentes and Rosa (Daniel) Garcia; brothers Victor (Delia) Navarro, Miguel (Martha) Navarro, Gabriel (Martha) Navarro and Gildardo (Esther) Navarro; sisters, Feliciana (Guadalupe) Fuentes, Cristina Navarro, Margarita (Aurelio) Cruz; 27 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may visit on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Church (Valley Church) with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery. Ave Maria Memorial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of choice.
