WATSONVILLE — Watsonville police order four people out of their car on Eastern Drive Thursday while investigating a report of shots fired from a gun.
A resident called 911 approximately 3:25 p.m. to report she had heard shots fired on Hushbeck Avenue near east Lake Avenue. Based on the witness description, police stopped a black Acura at Freedom Boulevard and Eastern Drive minutes after the call. Police ordered four Hispanic males out of the car at gunpoint and searched the vehicle. Meanwhile, the witness told police what she heard may not have been shots, but instead could have been a fight, said Sgt. Henry Robles.
Approximately seven officers arrived on the scene and blocked off a three-block stretch of Freedom between Main and Brennan streets while the four youths were ordered from their car and questioned.
There were no arrests.
