Group seeks Mar Vista pedestrian, bike bridge

APTOS — If the efforts of a group of Aptos community members are successful, a pedestrian bridge at Mar Vista Drive spanning Highway 1 and leading into the Seacliff neighborhood will be completed within the next four years.

On April 23, the group, called the Mar Vista Bridge Campaign, will hold a community meeting touting the benefits of the bridge and trying to drum up support for the project.

They will also ask Santa Cruz County supervisor candidates about their thoughts on the issue and ask for their support in their efforts to launch the bridge.
