WATSONVILLE — Daniel Cordova Arispe of Watsonville died Monday, April 9, 2012 in Monterey.
Mr. Arispe was a WWII combat infantryman who received various awards and medals including the Purple Heart for his bravery and valor for his participation in the “Battle of the Bulge.” He was a professional guitarist who enjoyed playing at the Watsonville Senior Center.
Mr. Arispe is survived by his four children, Peggy Avalos, Daniel Arispe Jr., both of Watsonville, Gloria Carbajal of Hemet, David Arispe of San Diego; sisters, Cruz Vasquez, Maggie Ybarra, Vicky Ramirez and Emily Arispe; brother, Raymond Arispe; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at Oakwood Memorial Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Rd. in Santa Cruz on Friday, April 13, 2012. Friends and family may attend the visitation beginning at 10 a.m. followed by services at 2 p.m. with graveside committal to follow. A “Celebration of Life” reception will be held at 739 Bronte Ave. in Watsonville.
