Mary Louise Sheehan passed away after a brief illness on March 9, 2012, in Riverton, Utah with her loving family beside her. Mary Louise, later know to many as Mary, touched the lives of many people and will be truly missed. She grew up in Watsonville, California where she met her husband, Gerald P. Sheehan, the love of her life, and they were married April 24, 1954. They had two sons, Mark and Scott.
Mary was active in Cub Scouts with her sons. She was active in the Venture Club of Watsonville, and her vocations included working at the Chamber of Commerce, the Wells Fargo Bank, then with her husband at Lonnie Case Trucking Company.
Mary was a member of Wild Lily Chapter No. 18, Order of the Eastern Star, Soquel, California.
They later moved to Orange, California. Mary assisted in her granddaughters’ activities, both in the classrooms and in attendance at events at their schools. She loved attending their softball games where she was known to everyone as “Grandma.” Mary was a big part in her family and was loved by everyone she met.
Mary recently moved to Eagle Mountain, Utah, where she could be found doing what she loved best: sitting on the front porch of her new home enjoying the snowcapped mountains, and she thoroughly enjoyed being with her granddaughters.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry and her parents, Jess and Ida Fountain. She leaves her sons and daughters-in-law Mark and Debra Sheehan of Watsonville, California and Scott and Jodie Sheehan of Eagle Mountain, Utah and her granddaughters Wendy, Candice, and Kaitlyn Sheehan of Eagle Mountain, Utah. She also leaves her two older sisters, Velma Blankenbiller of Santa Cruz, California and Yvonne Beckenhauer of Watsonville, California and nieces and nephews.
