Kathleen V. Ledesma died after a long battle with cancer Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at her Watsonville home. She was 52.

A native of Santa Cruz, Mrs. Ledesma was a lifelong resident of Watsonville. She worked in quality control for Harvest Food before serving as a certified nursing assistant at Santa Cruz Health Care for two years.

Mrs. Ledesma is survived by her daughter, Angie (David) Valle of Watsonville; son, Louis Chavez (Eddie Sera) of San Bernardino; sister, Mary Lou Contreras of Corralitos; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pinto Lake County Park, 757 Green Valley Road in Watsonville.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Mehl’s Colonial Chapel.
