Arthur Clark Bailey died Friday, January 29, 2010, at his home in Freedom. He was 85.
Born in Texas, Mr. Bailey moved to the Watsonville area in 1958. He was proud of his service to his country in World War II. He managed Lico’s Tavern for 30 years, and he and his wife owned it for the last 10. Mr. Bailey and his wife, Trella, managed the Freedom VFW for 20 years. He enjoyed playing shuffleboard and was proud that he had never lost a game.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife, Trella Bailey of Freedom; daughters, Diane Morgan of Watsonville, Ranae (Dan) Morgan of Satellite Beach, Fla., Tami (Tony) Moreno of Freedom, Roxann (Bill) Soares and Tanya Cooper of Oklahoma, and Robin (Dave) Tamisini; sons, David (Britney) Bailey of Portland, Ore., and Randy (Linda) Bailey of Carson City, Nev.; sisters, JoGean Bailey and Florene Redwine of Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.
