Bessie Cordova died quietly at her home Tuesday, January 26, 2010, with her family at her bedside. She was 79.

Mrs. Cordova is survived by her seven children, Natalie Carranco-Castillo of Watsonville, Albert Cordova Jr. of Texas, Timothy Cordova of Susanville, Roxanne Cordova of Antioch, Rodney Cordova of West Hollywood, and Claudette and Melanie Cordova of Watsonville; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Cordova; son John J. Cordova; and daughter Lorraine Ellis.
