WATSONVILLE — Gary L. “Goss” Gospodnetich died on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. He was 72.

Mr. Gospodnetich was born in Watsonville on July 2, 1941, to Bill and Evelyn Gospodnetich. He was involved in 4-H and was a HAM radio operator at a very early age. His first job was working for Watsonville Electric Co. where he got the electronic bug. He was Watsonville High Senior Class president in 1959. At Thanksgiving he always dedicated his time to helping the less fortunate in any city he was in. He loved to play golf and fish. He enjoyed family gatherings, watching John Wayne marathons, listening to classical music and doing crossword puzzles. Mr. Gospodnetich read a lot about different historical events and people, world wars being his favorite. He retired in Southern California, making his last home in Palm Desert before moving back to Watsonville.
