FOLSOM — Robert A. Williams died in Folsom on Thursday, March 28, 2013. He was 94.
Mr. Williams was born on Nov. 6, 1918. A native of Watsonville, he attended Watsonville schools and worked as an orchardist for 60 years growing apples and plums in the Larkin Valley area. He also worked for the PV School District for 12 years. He was an active member of the Watsonville First Baptist Church for most of his life. In 2000, Mr. Williams and his wife, Velma, moved to Lincoln to be near their daughters. They were members of the Lincoln Hills Community Church. In 2003 they moved to Queen of Hearts Senior Home in nearby Orangevale where they both remained through their final days.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Velma; stepdaughter, Alice DeBaun Miller; brother, Earl; and sisters, Gladys Atkins and Edna Brown. He is survived by a stepdaughter, Jeannette DeBaun Boline and her husband, Larry of Lincoln; son-in-law, Lloyd Miller of North Highlands; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and an extended family of nephews and nieces.
A memorial service is planned for June 8 at l p.m. at the Lincoln Hills Community Church in Lincoln and will be led by his nephew, Rev. Robert Atkins.
