WATSONVILLE — Robert (Bob) Hugh Goslin died on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Watsonville Community Hospital after a brief illness. He was 83.
Mr. Goslin was born in Monrovia on Nov. 18, 1929 and lived in Southern California during his younger years. He started driving big rig commercial tanker trucks when he was very young until he serviced his country in the US Army 2nd Infantry Division during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1953. He then moved to Watsonville and drove commercial truck for 35 years with Speas and American Foods on Walker Street.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Goslin; children, Robert II (Annette) Goslin, Dale Goslin, John Goslin of Southern California, Ralph Goslin, Jackie (Joe) Anderson of Missouri, Cathy (Brock) Davenport of Aptos, Colleen Bugayong, Daniel Delozier, Tracy Delozier of Watsonville, Mark Delozier of Arizona; sisters, Julie Strieter, Sally Whitehead, Pat Goslin; brother, Porter Whitehead of Southern California; 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Goslin; brothers, Jack Goslin, James Whitehead; and sister, Jeanette Brewster.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 23 at noon in the Pajaro Village Clubhouse on 739 Bronte Ave., Watsonville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the SPCA or VFW of Watsonville.www.avemariamemorialchapel.com.
