Elayne W. Stein, longtime resident of Watsonville, passed away on March 3, 2013. She was 68.
Elayne was born in Los Angeles, CA on November 17, 1944 to Harry and Florence Wittenberg. She graduated from San Jose University with a Bachelorís of Science in Nutrition and became a Dietician. After she married her husband, Bob, she gave up her career in Nutrition to work full-time in the family business at the Loch Lomond Reservoir and in their spare time they loved to travel. She was a Liturgist at St. Patrickís Church for 18 years and a member of the Young Ladies Institute. She was also a part of the Divine Worship Advisory Council as an Event Coordinator, advising the Office of Worship for the Monterey Diocese.
Elayne is survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert (Bob) Stein; her brothers Jim and Bob Wittenberg; her sister, Joann Wittenberg S.N.D.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Vigil and Rosary will be celebrated at St. Patrickís Church on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 7 P.M. Mass will be celebrated the following day, Wednesday, March 13th at 10 A.M. at St. Patrickís Church.
