WATSONVILLE — Blake Fisher died on Tuesday, November 13, 2012. He was 88.
Mr. Fisher was a local farmer who had been involved in local agriculture throughout most of his life. He was a longtime member of the local Elk’s Lodge and the Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau. He also served his country when he enlisted in the U.S Navy and joined the Seabees.
Mr. Fisher is preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Rede; and brothers, Ellis, Cletus and Therman Fisher. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Rainey of Oregon; brothers, Wayne Fisher, Kirby Fisher and Willard Fisher, all of Oklahoma; as well as two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 2151 Freedom Blvd., Freedom, with services to follow immediately at 10:30 a.m. at the church with Dr. Les Miller officiating. Graveside services to follow at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park with military honors. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Patrick and Debbie Carroll of Ave Maria Memorial Chapel.
