SANTA CRUZ — One of the members of the Filipino community in Santa Cruz, Jerry D. Arceo died on Thursday, November 15, 2012 while at the ICU of Dominican Hospital.
Mr. Arceo was known as a compassionate, caring, thoughtful, hardworking and a loving partner and father. He was always available to help; was one of those friends who is just a “phone call away.” He lived in Santa Cruz for 11 years and cared for sick, disabled and elderly members of the community. His passing is a big loss to the “care-givers” group, his friends and especially to his family.
He is survived by his partner, Jane Valenzuela; and son, Jerry Arceo Jr.; wife, Josephine Arceo and their children Janine Arceo, Joshua Arceo; parents, Pracedes and Angelina Arceo; and siblings, Jimmy, Joel, Jasmin and Jelyn.
Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Saturday from 12-9 p.m. with Rosary and Chapel Blessing to begin at 4 p.m. Burial will take place in the Philippines at a later date.
