WATSONVILLE — Helen M. Seadler died in Watsonville on Friday, September 7, 2012. She was 85.
Mrs. Seadler was born in Vancouver, Wash. on March 3, 1927 to Ernst and Edith Hillstead. She was the second of three children, graduating from Hoquiam High School in 1945. Immediately following graduation she and Albert “Bud” Seadler, Jr. were married in Fresno.
She loved to go fishing at Eagle Lake with Bud, an excellent seamstress, marvelous cook and gracious hostess. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She and Bud delighted in entertaining their family and friends.
Mrs. Seadler is survived by her husband of 67 years Bud Seadler; children, Kathie (John) Sarracino, Richard (Carol) Seadler Mitch (Nanette) Seadler and Judie (Chris) Nielsen; sister, June Young; six grandchildren, two step granddaughters, five great grandchildren; sister-in-law Doris Seadler and numerous nephews and nieces.
Friends are invited to attend a visitation today from 1-3 p.m., Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main Street, Watsonville, 724-4751, with graveside services on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Pajaro Valley Memorial Park, 127 Hecker Pass Rd., Watsonville. Hospice of Santa Cruz County preferred. Arrangements by Patrick and Debbie Carroll, Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, Watsonville.
