Natalia Silva Faustino died at home in Watsonville September 6, 2012. She was 85. A native of Bandeiras, on the island of Pico in the Azores, she came to the United States September 16, 1959, and moved to Watsonville in 1968. Mrs. Faustino worked as a seamstress at Colshire Co. for 8 years before retiring. She was a member of the I.S.T.W. and the Our Lady Help of Christians Fatima Festival Committee. She loved to crochet, bake and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Faustino leaves her daughters, Natalie (Joe) Costa of Watsonville and Lena Beach of Oregon; 5 grandchilddren, Nathalie Costa (Alex Romero) and Bryanna (Sammy) Ruiz of Watsonville, Bradford Beach of Morgan Hill, Branson and Christina Beach of Oregon; and 2 great grandchildren, Layla Romero and Bryce Ruiz. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank S. Faustino.
A Rosary will be recited tonight at 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady Help of Christians (Valley Catholic) Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Burial will follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
