CORRALITOS — Thomas “Hutch” Hutchinson, long time resident of Corralitos, died on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. He was 67.
Mr. Hutchinson was born in Hutchinson, Kan. on Aug. 21, 1944. He spent his early years in Hawaii and grew up in Cupertino. He met and married his wife, Kathy, in 1967 and they moved to Scotts Valley in 1968 where they had a son, Jim, and in 1978 they moved to Corralitos. He worked for PG&E for 31 years as a Lineman and Troubleman. Upon his retirement, he obtained a contractor’s license and started a business with his wife, Kathy’s Lift Truck & Lighting Service.
Mr. Hutchinson enjoyed spending many hours sitting out by the pond watching and feeding his Koi. He was involved with the Santa Cruz Corvette Club for many years, participating in auto crossing, drag racing, rallying, and car shows with his 1966 Corvette. His family meant the world to him.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; mother, Mary; son, Jim; 4 grandchildren; an uncle, and 2 cousins.
A memorial service celebrating Mr. Hutchinson’s life will be held on Sept. 8 at 1 p.m. outdoors, under the Redwoods at the Estrada Deer Camp on Hazel Dell Rd. in Corralitos. During the memorial we welcome you to share your stories and memories of Mr. Hutchinson. Arrangements were entrusted to Mehl’s Colonial Chapel.
