Jackie Minasian

WATSONVILLE — Jackie Minasian died in her Watsonville home on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. She was 83.

Mrs. Minasian was born in Bristow, Okla., on Sept. 4, 1928, to Orlan W. and Zora (York) Noteware. She lived in Watsonville for more than 60 years. Besides raising her family, she worked as a secretary for many years at the Pajaro Unified School District.  Mrs. Minasian was a longtime member of the community and as such she was a fan of the Watsonville Band, a member of the Corralitos Community Church, a dedicated fan of the Giants, and a member of multiple bridge clubs.  She was an avid traveler; she toured through Europe; Egypt; the Mediterranean and throughout the United States.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward B Minasian; sister, Bonnie Leonhardt; son, Brian Minasian; daughters, Marcia and Lauren Minasian; 4 grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.

Friends are invited to atttend a celebration of Mrs. Minasian’s life on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Corralitos Community Church, 26 Browns Valley Rd., Corralitos. The family requests memorial gifts in Mrs. Minasian’s name to Corralitos Community Church.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Patrick and Debbie Carroll, Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St., Watsonville.
