Rosie Terasaki

WATSONVILLE — Rosie Yayeko Terasaki died at Watsonville Community Hospital on Monday, June 18, 2012. She was 72.

Ms. Terasaki graduated from Watsonville High School in 1958. She was active for many years with the J.A.C.L. and attended the Watsonville Buddhist Temple.

Ms. Terasaki is survived by her brothers, Bob Terasaki of San Jose and Roy Terasaki of Lathrop; sister, Mae K. Terasaki Welch of Aromas; two nieces and one nephew. She is also survived by a half brother and sister in Japan. She was preceded in death by her brother, Sam Terasaki.

A memorial service will be held at the Watsonville Buddhist Temple on Saturday at 5 p.m. Private burial services will be held at the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin at a later date. Mehl’s Colonial Chapel entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
