Robert Boncheff

Robert James Boncheff, long time resident of Watsonville, passed away on May 24, 2012. He was 68.

Mr. Boncheff was born in San Francisco, CA on September 2, 1943 and adopted by Peter and Helen Boncheff. He worked as a volunteer for many organizations including the St. Patrick’s Church where he was a devoted member. The congregation at St. Patrick’s was like family to him. He volunteered with the St. Patrick’s Children’s Choir with his brother-in-Christ, Homer Tejada. He liked to play golf and was known for his dynamic personality. He was loved by children of the choir who called him “Uncle Bob”.

Mr. Boncheff is survived by his brother-in-Christ, Homer Tejada; his aunt, Ester J. Wilhelm; cousins, Richard and Karen Edlund, Stephen Keller, Jeffrey Keller, and Susan Keller Horne; second cousins, Jennifer C. Pepping and Kristen A. Gibson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Helen Boncheff and his second cousin, Valerie Winsor.

A visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Thursday, May 31st, 2012 from 6-9 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7 PM. Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church on Friday, June 1st, 2012 at 10:30 AM with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
