AROMAS — Riley Hopper died on Saturday, April 28, 2012. He was 88.
Mr. Hopper moved to Aromas from Missouri in 1941. He enlisted in the U.S Army during World War II, then came home to become a rancher where he enjoyed hunting, trapping and also loved to chop firewood.
Mr. Hopper is survived by his son, Donald Hopper, and his sister, Evelene Crawford of Fairfield.
Burial will take place at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Salinas on Thursday at 2 p.m. with military honors. Ave Maria Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
