PVLL: Padres’ hot bats lead them over Cubs

The Padres battered the Cubs for a 13-3 win in Pajaro Valley Little League play on Monday afternoon in Watsonville.

Ryan Lewis finished with two doubles and three runs. Gage Miltimore had two RBIs. Cody Foster smacked in two runs for the Cubs.

In other Pajaro Valley Little League action:

•Braves 14, Astros 12: The Braves just edged out the Astros behind two Andrew Seymour Grand Slams.

Garret Laine and Ryan River also hit balls over the fence for the Braves.

The Astros got their boosts from Reese Selck, Luke Meyers and Harrison Zichke. They all finished with two RBIs.

•Giants 11, Rays 8: Isaac Gonzales brought in three runs and the Giants topped the Rays on Tuesday in Watsonville.

Gonzales hit one out of the park to go along with his double. Abel Martinez blasted a triple.

Mathew Ambriz belted a home run for the Rays to keep them in the game. He finished with two RBIs. E.J. Kelly had a single and double.

AAA Minors

• Cardinals 9, Athletics 6: The Cardinals held on to beat the athletics in Tuesdays little league action.

Diego Orta brought in three runs and he hit a triple for the Cards.

Adam Candelario had a double for the A’s.

• Giants 12, Dodgers 6:

The Giants blasted the Dodgers as Dumonte Bolden scurried around the bases for an inside-the-park home run.

Nathaniel Brouse added three RBIs off of a double and a triple.

Luke Keaschall brought in two runs for the Dodgers and he had a triple.
