The North Monterey County High boys soccer team won their second in a row and got a second consecutive shutout by beating Gilroy 2-0 on Monday evening at Garcia-Elder Field at Gilroy High.
Angel Flores and Stephen Perez each scored for the Condors, who improved to 8-8-1 overall and 3-6 in the Monterey Bay League Gabilan Division.
Gerardo Ramirez had an assist, while goalkeeper Jesus Tostado made two saves in preserving the shutout.
The Condors have not allowed a goal in more than 160 minutes played. They will try to continue the streak Wednesday against Pajaro Valley.
• Monterey 6, Monte Vista Christian 1: At Monterey, the Toreadores extended their unbeaten streak to four games while keeping their MBL Pacific Division title hopes alive.
The six goals is the team’s biggest output since it had six against Monte Vista Christian on Jan. 10.
