SAN JUAN BAUTISTA — The Monte Vista Christian High boys soccer team got a big second-half lift from its forwards and rallied to finish 2-2 with host Anzar on Monday afternoon.
It was Monte Vista Christian’s second consecutive tie this season. The Mustangs remain unbeaten at 1-0-2.
Head coach Grant Craton said he likes how the team is playing so far.
“They’ve taken what we’ve seen from each game and built on it,” Craton said. “There’s a lot to work on, but they … are improving with each game.
Anzar controlled the first half, and it seemed like it would score at will against the Mustangs.
