MARINA — The North County Bronco All-Star baseball team, playing in its fourth tournament in as many weeks, had hoped to keep their season alive and stun the opposition.
But the players ran out of steam, as it lost to host Marina 8-0 on Wednesday in the Northern California Coast Regional losers bracket finals.
North County didn’t have an answer for Kevin Cook, who pitched a complete-game two-hitter.
Cook struck out 10 and had a hand in 19 of the 21 defensive outs, as he forced North County to hit several comebackers.
