Watsonville boxer Oscar Godoy won his third straight bout and did it once again on a national stage last month.
Godoy traveled to Corona and defeated Roberto Crespo, of nearby Riverside, with a unanimous decision June 29.
Two of his wins during his streak have been by decision. He improved to 7-2. The three-match win streak matches a run he did last year.
He’s 3-1 in 2012.
“This year has been going pretty good,” he said. “I didn’t let the loss (a knockout in January) get to me. It’s motivated me to be more disciplined. I keep working and working, and I want to keep winning.”
His latest fight came under some unique settings.
