Aptos High alum Bobby Crocker had a hit for a second consecutive game, but the Burlington Bees’ six-game winning streak came to an end as they lost to the Cedar Rapids Kernels 8-1 in Iowa.
Crocker went 1 for 4 as his batting average moved to .272.
Burlington didn’t score its run until the ninth inning.
Crocker has a hit in six of his last eight games played. He’s batting .333 in those eight games with two walks and eight RBIs.
