Former Aptos High standout Kevin Eichhorn allowed one run through six innings and ended up with a no-decision at the Lakeland Flying Tigers defeated the Tampa Yankees 4-2 in 10 innings in the team’s second game of the season Friday night.
Eichhorn was staked to a 1-0 lead immediately and held it until the fourth. He struck out four and allowed one walk in his debut.
He threw 36 pitches, with 32 of them being strikes.
Lakeland, the affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, took the lead in the top of the 10th on back-to-back doubles.
