Outdoor Day a trove of free activities

WATSONVILLE The fourth annual Monterey Bay Youth Outdoor Day, a free family-oriented outdoor activity day, will take place June 21 at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds.

This year more than 40 exhibitors will be on hand to help youths get acquainted and excited about such activities as water sports, archery, fly fishing, mountain biking, rock climbing, health and safety, conservation, disc golf, kayaking and horseback riding. There will also be a variety of dog, horse, BMX bike and skateboard shows, said event coordinator Elyse Destout, owner of Photography by Elyse.
