WATSONVILLE Children of all ages got a dose of good old fashion fun at Easter on the Farm Saturday, courtesy of the Agricultural History Project at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds.

For the tenth year running, the organization that aims to preserve the agricultural legacy of the Pajaro Valley, put on an activity-laden event with Easter egg hunts, craft making, face painting, hayrides and an assortment of games.

Children crowded around tables filled with all the materials needed to create their own Easter basket and hat, while volunteers showed them how to apply the ribbons and lace. Kids more accustomed to the high-tech world of video game consoles and hand-held gadgets, got a thrill rolling hoops and leaving their mark with sidewalk chalk.
