WATSONVILLE — ALBA Organics General Manager Tony Serrano has a lot to smile about.
The distributor of locally grown, certified organic fruits and vegetables, located in the old Wildwood tofu plant on Riverside Drive, is just about to launch a new branding campaign — complete with a new label design — and business is booming.
“We have made tremendous progress since we started in 2002,” Serrano said.
Turning over just $50,000 in sales that first year, they closed the last fiscal year with more than $4.5 million in sales.
