WATSONVILLE — Gov. Jerry Brown has appointed two new members to the Santa Cruz County Fair Board, the fair announced Monday.
Les Gardner, 66, of Felton fills the vacancy left when Christopher Smith resigned, while Diana Moreno-Inman, 48, of Watsonville, replaces Patrice Edwards, whose term ended earlier this year.
The appointments bring the total number to eight board members on the nine-member board.
Gardner has been a self-employed real estate investor and private lender since 1966. He was also a self-employed spring water supplier from 1985 to 2003. In addition, Gardner is a member of the Valley Women’s Club.
Moreno-Inman has been a senior financial education and marketing specialist at Bay Federal Credit Union since 2011. Previously she was a management consultant at Moreno Inman and Associates from 2006 to 2011. She served on the board of directors at the Pajaro Valley Performing Arts Association from 2008 to 2012, and as co-chair at the county of Santa Cruz women’s commission from 2008 to 2011.
She graduated magna cum laude from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in international business and is a licensed private pilot.
