WATSONVILLE — On Tuesday neighborhoods throughout Watsonville will take part with thousands of communities nationwide in the 29th annual National Night Out. The free family and business oriented, crime and drug prevention event is being sponsored by the Watsonville Police Department and Parks and Community Services Department Neighborhood Services for the 14th year.
About 37.1 million people are expected to participate in America’s Night Out Against Crime this year.
The goals of National Night Out are to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships, and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
