APTOS — Police are looking for a suspect who attempted to sexually assault a 17-year-old female who was jogging near Seascape Park Thursday night.
According to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office, the female was jogging on Sumner Avenue passing Via Soderini in Aptos at approximately 5:30 p.m. when she noticed a male standing behind the trunk area of a black sedan, possibly a Pontiac. When she jogged by the suspect reportedly exposed himself and tried to grab her. She ran to the Seascape Park and called 911.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his 30s, light complexion, 6 foot to 6 feet 2 inches, heavy set, approximately 250 pounds, short brown hair, with a brown groomed beard, wearing black sunglasses, black shirt and dark colored blue jeans.
